If you are a dedicated and results-oriented Contracts Manager with a strong background in construction contracts and an ability to effectively manage complex contractual matters, this is one of the most exciting and high growth opportunities this year!

With an expansive, 55,000 sq ft head office and distribution warehouse they deliver a seamless service from concept design to installation and aftercare to house builders and blue-chip developers.

Due to an exciting period of growth and a solid plan in place for further expansion they are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join the team at their newly opened wow factor Head Office in Rochdale. Reporting to the National Sales Director, The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of contract administration and compliance for our construction projects. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a thorough understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities:

Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial review at tender stage, through to negotiation of terms, for all projects.

Review and evaluate project contracts, identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Collaborate with project teams, including our sales, estimating and project management teams, to ensure contractual obligations are met.

Negotiate and finalize contract terms and conditions with clients.

Monitor and track contract performance, ensuring that all parties are meeting their contractual obligations and deadlines.

Address any contractual issues, claims, or disputes that arise during the course of the projects and work towards resolution.

Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation, including contract summaries, change orders, and amendments.

Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Keep up to date with changes in relevant legislation and industry best practices related to contracts management.

Provide guidance and support to the sales and estimating teams regarding contract interpretation and compliance for tenders.

Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to resolve complex contractual matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, contract law, and relevant legislation.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Attention to detail and ability to work with complex contractual documents.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations and risk management practices.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
