We have a really exciting opportunity with Europe's largest kitchen manufacturer who are looking for a high performing General Store Manager to become part of their team. It’s a new concept store in the UK and will most certainly disrupt the market.
With major financial backing and continued strong performance from the other major brands they own, I am pleased to share that they have exciting growth plans to scale this business to 150 + stores and make a real impact within the sector.
The Kitchen Showroom General Manager is responsible for the overall management, sales performance, and daily operations of the kitchen showroom. The role focuses on driving sales, managing staff, delivering excellent customer experience, and ensuring profitable showroom performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Growth
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual showroom sales targets
Lead the kitchen design and sales process from enquiry to completion
Develop sales strategies to increase showroom footfall and conversion
Monitor sales KPIs and pipeline
Ensure effective quotation, pricing, and margin management
2. Showroom Management
Manage the day-to-day operations of the showroom
Maintain high showroom standards, displays, and merchandising
Ensure showroom is clean, organised, and customer-ready
Oversee product displays and updates with suppliers
3. Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage kitchen designers and sales staff
Conduct performance reviews and sales coaching
Motivate the team to achieve targets
Manage staff rotas and availability
4. Customer Experience
Ensure customers receive professional consultation and design service
Handle customer escalations and complaints
Maintain high customer satisfaction and reviews
Ensure smooth handover between sales, design, and installation teams
5. Supplier & Installation Coordination
Liaise with kitchen suppliers, manufacturers, and installers
Manage ordering, delivery schedules, and stock coordination
Ensure accurate kitchen specifications and order processing
6. Financial & Operational Control
Monitor profit margins and cost control
Manage sales reporting and forecasts
Oversee contracts, deposits, and payment schedules
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
Experience in kitchen showroom sales or kitchen retail management
Proven sales leadership experience
Strong kitchen design knowledge
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
Experience managing sales teams
Desirable
Experience using kitchen design software (e.g., Winner, 2020, Fusion)
Knowledge of kitchen installation process
Background in interiors, home improvement, or furniture retail
